Help Steve Hawkins' Family with Medical Bills

On February 4th, 2021, Steve Hawkins was set to go help another fellow snowmobiler repair a sled in the backcountry of the Palisades area as he has done many other times. Such is the character of Steve that he is so willing to help people out in need and use his talented and exceptional mechanic skills. This is an area that Steve has ridden every week for most of his life.
As he began climbing up a grade at turbo speed, he came upon a twig sticking out of the snow as many do. Only this was not just a twig, this twig was the end of a dead tree that had fallen and was hidden under the snow. Needless to say, the dead fall tree was exposed and acted much like a jousting lance. This impact was devastating with several internal injuries to Steve. Lifesaving procedures were performed on the hill while waiting for Life Flight.
Once flown to the hospital, Steve has had several surgeries to deal with the internal bleeding, fractured ribs, collapsed lungs, intestinal tract repair, stomach repair, spleen repair and the loss of a kidney. Steve remains in ICU in critical condition; however, he is slowly progressing in his recovery with each passing day.
His wife and 4 kids are anxious to get their loving husband and father back home, but Steve has a long way to go with several more surgeries as time goes on.
Being the primary bread winner of the home and as one could image bills are stacking up. Many family and friends are doing what they can to help, but financial assistance is needed as the monthly bills are coming in. Steve is a happy, quiet soul that is a devoted husband and father.
