Help Stanley Recover

Our friend and hard-working St. James Community Meal Volunteer Stanley Kimura is used to helping others, but now he could use a little help. A car struck Stanley while he was crossing the street in Waimea in mid-October. He was seriously injured and is recovering at a hospital on O'ahu. When he is strong enough, he will be transferred to rehabilitation hospital for further treatment. A friend visited Stanley at the hospital and reports that Stanley is recovering well from his accident and is grateful for the outpouring of support.
 
Stanley’s friends are starting a GoFundMe campaign because there are unplanned expenses associated with his recovery. He has dropped so much weight that his clothes don’t fit and he needs clothes to wear at the rehab hospital. In addition, there are some therapeutic treatments that aren’t covered by his insurance.
