Help Stacey in her fight against Breast cancer

At the end of August Stacey found a lump on her right breast and went to the doctor to have it checked out, she was then sent to have an ultrasound and mammogram.

The test results came back the same day for Ultrasound and Mammogram and they had seen something in the lump and in the lymph nodes and wanted to investigate it further so Stacey was then sent for a biopsy. She had to wait a week for biopsy results to come back

The doctor called Stacey to come in for results Stacey said at this point she had a bad feeling that it wasn’t gona be good.

The Doctor came straight out with it and said it was breast cancer. The dreaded news that no one wishes to hear, as you can imagine her whole world crumbled. Stacey also learned that the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes.

The following week Stacey was sent for all the tests and had to meet with doctors,surgeons and oncologist. She had to undergo a lot of tests including bone scans, brain scans, PET scans, bloods tests and also had to have implanted tags on the tumour lumps and lymph nodes.

Stacey Was then told that chemotherapy will kill most of her eggs so her chances of having any more children is slim. She was told that they could do some egg freezing for IVF but it would delay her treatment taken place for 4-5 weeks.

Stacey and her partner John had to Unfortunately make the hardest decision of not doing egg removal as the cancer was fast acting and they didn't want to delay the treatment and risk the cancer spreading further.

Stacey has began her treatment, two treatments down and she will be going through 5 months of intensive chemotherapy, she will have surgery to remove both of her breasts (double mastectomy to prevent any further cancer later on)

then she will begin radiation along with further surgery to have a reconstruction done.

Stacey will be going through all of this whilst trying to care for her beautiful daughter Lily who is 6 years old.

**We have set up this fundraiser to help the beautiful Stacey as she fights the biggest battle of her life! Stacey is from Dublin ireland and has been living in Sydney Australia for many years now with her partner John & their beautiful daughter Lilly who is 6 years old.

All funds raised will go towards helping Stacey and her beautiful family as she braves her way through this battle, this will help contribute to a long list of expenses. to name a few , living expenses, childcare, and when possible getting Stacey's family from Ireland here to be by her side, and any additional costs that we can help with so that Stacey can solely focus on her treatment and her recovery. **
