Help Squirrely who was shot in the head

My name is Jessica and I am trying to raise funds to help one of my staff members of 7 years and friend, Taylor with medical bills and possible lawyer fees for justice for her dog, Squirrely. 
Two nights ago, Squirrely escaped Taylor's yard through a part of the fence that was once repaired but the little stinker busted through again.
He wandered on over to the neighbors yard who has chickens. The neighbor, thinking he was a threat to his chickens, SHOT SQUIRRELY BETWEEN THE EYES with the obvious intent to kill him.  
Squirrely did not die, he ran back home to Taylor and her family all bloody and crying in pain. They quickly pieced together what happened because they have had run ins with this neighbor in the past as his chickens come into Taylor's yard often. This man is always swinging his guns around according to neighbors. So when Taylor's boyfriend went and approached this man, he admitted to shooting Squirrely between the eyes at close range. The entire story is unbelievable. 
Taylor and family rushed Squirrely to the Vet who cleaned him up the best they could, going above and beyond and staying way past closing. The Emergency Vet visit cost a lot and his continued care, including a dog ophthalmologist for his eye will coat even more. They decided to leave the bullet in for now and he is gaining strength evey day. Taylor did have the police to her house and they said they could do nothing sadly. We are looking into if anything can be done leagally but again will need funds. Thank you in advance to all who donate. Anything helps. Please share to help Taylor help Squirrely.
