Help Spud to not be a Couch Potato

Donation protected

This is Spud,a five-year-old golden retriever who loves life and everyone he meets. Who enjoys running along the beach, playing with his blind doggy friend Tigger and participating in obedience and tracking trials.

(Spud pretending to be Tigger)

On the 2nd May this year, Spud had his first seizure. We thought it was a one-off occurence as he hadn't had one since. Unfortunately, in June, he had four seizures in less than 24 hours, resulting in vet care and a lot of medication. He stopped being his energetic, playful self, and spent most of his time curled up asleep.

He had another cluster of seizures over the weekend of the 23rd September resulting in him spending the weekend and much of Monday in ICU. This is why we raised our goal amount because his stay used a lot of the money we'd already raised.

It is uncertain what is causing Spud's seizures, which is why his vet recommended a MRI scan. This would be a great step forward for Spud's future as it would help to rule out worrying problems like brain tumors and brain lesions.
Unfortunately, MRI's are expensive, which is why we need your help. Any donation you can give, anything at all, is beyond valuable to Spud and I.
Spud is such a joyous dog, with the sweetest personality, and to see him like he is now, to see him having seizures, is completely heart-rending.

Spud is my bestfriend, a spirited dog who lives life to the full. He can make me laugh when I don't feel like laughing, and is an immense comfort in times of need. He doesn't only help me to laugh, he puts a smile on the faces of everyone he meets. This is especially important for his Therapy Dog work, bringing joy into the lives of those who need it most. He doesn't judge, and he doesn't hold grudges. He just really means so much to me.

The reason I ask for your help is because I'm a university student, with a limited income and lots of textbooks to buy, so I can't describe how much your contribution means to me and Spud; I will be forever indebited to your generosity. Your largesse will be a huge step forward in Spud's recovery, and his path to his old self. Help me to help him.

If everyone who saw this donated $5 we'd easily reach our goal. It would mean so much to Spud and I. <3
