Snežana is 57 years old from Bar, Montenegro, cheerful, constantly on the move, and never complains. She enjoys planting flowers and going for a brisk walk every day.
Although she is fighting cancer for the third time, Snežana is bravely walking with the hope that this time she will finally win. She has to go for emergency surgery for a malignant tumor in her lymph gland in her pelvis. The surgery will be in Belgrade, Serbia at the Institute of Oncology and Radiology. In addition to the costs of the surgery, Snežana and her family need to cover costs of travel and accommodation for her and her family throughout her journey.
Prior to this surgery, she had two others for ovarian and uterine tumors. The first surgery was ineffective, so she had to go under the knife once more. Unfortunately, the disease reappeared, requiring a third surgery.
Her struggle has been going on for two and a half years. She has undergone a large number of chemotherapy treatments and lost her hair twice.
