Help Skyler fight Brain Cancer
Donation protected
We are raising money to help support 3 year old Skyler Levy and his family (Scott & Gemma) on their journey to beat childhood brain cancer. The money will be used to cover medical expenses, medication, travel, food, lost income, as well as some basic household expenses indirectly related to Skyler’s care. Any unused funds will be donated to the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation.
On July 28th, 2019, Scott and Gemma Levy learned that their once happy and lively 3-year-old son has advanced childhood brain cancer. Skyler’s Medulloblastoma is invasive, aggressive and has spawned hundreds of secondary cancerous tumors that have spread throughout his brain and spine.
Skyler is being well cared for in Brisbane by a team of world-class Oncology and Neurology experts at the Queensland Children’s Hospital.
On Aug 3rd 2019, Skyler went in for a marathon high-risk brain surgery to remove the large primary tumour and other secondary tumours in his brain. Once he recovers from surgery Skyler will be treated with radiotherapy, a gruelling treatment (under general anaesthetic), every day where radiation is delivered to Skyler’s brain and spine for 6 weeks. After that the chemotherapy plan should continue until May 2020.
Skyler is a strong, happy and active little boy so we are very optimistic about his ability to win this battle. As you can imagine, the family is now dedicated to spending 110% of their time and energy on getting Skyler well and looking after his little sister Tilly. Your support is sincerely appreciated.
