Help Sick Stray Old Cat

On June 16th, this cat was found by a good Samaritan. She reached out for help through Nextdoor and arrangements were made to take this poor little guy to the vet. Upon first examination, it was apparent that this cat was going to need a lot of help. The vet said that he has one of the worst flea infestations that she has ever seen, leading to him to be anemic. His x rays indicate that he has an enlarged heart and severe inflammation on his abdomen that is a concern for cancer, but we are awaiting more test results to see. He appears to have either a large abscess on his face, but there is a concern that it could be a tumor. Once he is stable enough, the vet will try to open it up to take samples. 

This poor baby looks like he has had a rough life and deserves a chance to know what love is. He is extremely sweet and spent his entire examination purring and rubbing on the vet. 

We are posting an estimate of what we think the costs might be, but plan to revise this once the test results are reviewed in the morning. Tomorrow (6/18/21) we will be able to post an official estimate from the vet of the cost as we will have a game plan for treatment.
