Help Siana in her Recovery

Hi we are Kellie and Lauren and we are fundraising to help our amazing friend Siana’s recovery.

 

Siana is one of the most selfless people you could ever wish to meet. As all Siana’s friends will know she goes out of her way to help everyone and now we want to return that favour. Not only is she a full time mother to 4 beautiful kids,  along with her sisters she gives up her time, every week, to run a non profit Martial Arts clubs for children. Not only does she help the children with their martial arts skills but also their confidence and any problems with home or school life. 

 

Inbetween Christmas and new year Siana suffered a frontal lobe brain hemorrhage, siana is having to learn basic skills like walking and writing properly again, things we rely on and take for granted day to day. 

Information from siana:

. Results concluded that I have suffered a brain hemorrhage in the frontal lobe, it could had been caused by a sudden rise in blood pressure but this can not be proved so I will be in the 10% of cases that have no known cause. I am also one of the lucky ones who survived and I will never take life for granted ever again!!!!!

Recovery time is different for everyone but every small step I make is recovery for ME and I am just so grateful to be here!

Today I took some steps on my own without support.... A Martial Artist for 30 years and a Centre Court netball player... This part hurts me so bad mentally

I have had a cognitive test and I did well considering the type of brain injury and where it is so that is a positive, I may need more support in this area when I get home but I'm eager to have any therapy to help repair the damage.

I am waiting for an assessment from opthalmology as there maybe some damage behind my eyes and my eyesight is not normal at the minute but again, what will be, will be.’

 

Theres so many people that want to help, not only Siana, but her lovely family too, this is why we have started this page. The family can then decide how they see fit to spend the money raised, whether it be on a break away for the family, help aid Siana’s Rehabilitation or help financially. It doesnt matter how much you donate- every little helps.
