This GoFundMe was created to help support Sherry in her quest to slay small-cell lung cancer where it stands. Sherry is many things: my best friend and mom, a legendary wife, a brilliant mind, a bulk-size supply of heart, a repository of sarcasm, the quickest wit you've ever met, and the greatest pool-party host in the history of Western Civilization.
If you have met her, you know all of these things.
Her current project -- while not saving the world -- is to defeat a case of small-cell cancer that is currently targeting her liver and left lung. While Sherry is making friends in the chemotherapy/oncology/radiology departments at Huron-Valley Sinai Hospital, she is unable to work. Your support will go towards giving a hand with what insurance won't cover and various testing costs. My sister Tara and I are asking if you can give Sherry a hand in supporting more treatment options, mitigating costs, and give piece of mind. Thanks for being part of #teamsherry.

My step-mom Sherry has been sick since April. Despite many trips back and forth to the doctor and various antibiotics and medications, she got worse. Then about 2 weeks ago, they sent her for CT of her lungs where they found a mass that turned out to be small-cell lung cancer in its advanced stages. From there, we have now also found out that she has it in her liver too. The plan is to start intensive chemo- which Sherry started her first 8 hour session yesterday. I am creating this GoFundMe to try to help with the medical costs that will start mounting up, Sherry is the sole income for the family right now and the last thing she needs to worry about is the cost of medical treatment; we just want her to be able to focus on fighting this and putting the cancer into remission. I will be posting updates as we get them. Thank you to everyone who donates and shares ❤
