Help Sherri Ward Repair Her Mom's Roof

Hi, I'm Sherri Ward. I care for my bedridden mother. She has been in hospice at her home for 11 months. She is in congestive heart failure and has a broken hip which can't be repaired.

In March 2025, her husband of 34 years walked out. He left her with all the marital debt. He then filed for divorce. Mom had 5000 dollars in savings. She used that to hire an attorney to represent her in court since she can't be there. Mom is living on social security; she was self-employed, so she only draws 1100 dollars per month. We are relying on the food pantry at the Methodist church to keep her staples in the kitchen.

After a recent storm, I crawled onto the roof. The rubber boots on the vents are obliterated. The shingles are old and completely shot. I had a roofing company come out and give me a quote: 22000 dollars. Our neighbor, who is a builder, took a look and graciously took mercy on my mom. He will replace all the rotted wood and put a new metal roof on her home for 10,000 dollars. If you or anyone you know could help my mom, please donate to help. Any amount will help. Mom will lose a lot more than just her roof if we can't get this roof repaired, replaced, or plainly closed up from the elements quickly. We need your help.
