Hartford 9-1-1 Dispatcher, Shawn Saylor, Needs Your Help!
After serving the residents of Hartford, CT, as a Public Safety Dispatcher for 16 years, Shawn is now the one in need of help as he struggles with this own fight to survive. Shawn has been a dedicated team member of the Department of Emergency Services & Telecommunications since 2005. His kind and generous soul provides a soothing and reassuring voice to 9-1-1 callers. His calm, unwavering demeanor provides comfort to Police, Fire, and EMS responders in the field during the most chaotic incidents.
Shawn, an amazing father, loving son, and dedicated husband was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease 5 years ago. Shawn has had 6 surgeries over the past month and is currently fighting for his life due to a serious foot injury and infection.
As a native of Hartford, Shawn is invested in making the community a better place through his work and has dedicated his time as a little league football coach.
