Help Sharyn Munro fix her flooded home

Donation protected
Sharyn's house in Wingham  has been flooded. There was no SES warning or alarm sounded. She woke up with knee deep water beside her bed!  No time to pack anything and water already over the roof of her car. She had been preparing the house for sale so many of her treasured possessions were in the shed (with the car) where the water was already 2m deep. The water rose 6m while she was sleeping! The house is not insured for flood and the car is a write off. Sale prospects are now unknown. We're not sure if any Government assistance will be available but in any case it won't cover all that needs to be repaired and purchased. Hard to know the total costs until the damage is able to be accurately assessed but will be very significant. Any help, however small, would be very much appreciated.

Those of you who know Sharyn will know how hard it was to convince her to let me do this on her behalf. Of course I will be helping her in every way I can and she will be ok but I know many of you would like to express your wishes in a tangible way. Please don't feel obligated and she knows she has your best wishes. This is new to both of us and feels very strange (and not quite 'right') asking for help like this.  I will keep you updated and we know that Sharyn will thank you all when things settle a bit.  And a big thank you from me, David.

GoFundMe has requested I add additional details as follows;

For those of you who don't know, my name is David Iverach and  I live in Sydney. I am Sharyn's friend and visit her in Wingham regularly. The house and contents were not covered for flood insurance. She will get $1500 for the car that has been written off and needs a car urgently.  All the electrical appliances (fridge, stove, washing machine etc have been destroyed. Most of the tools (mower, power tools, chainsaw etc) have been destroyed. Most of her extensive camping gear has been destroyed. All the soft furnishings have had to be thrown out along with many pieces of furniture. There's a range of water damage to floors and lower walls and the electrical wiring. The money raised (so generous of you all) will be used to help restore some of the above.

Again for clarity, I will be overseeing the withdrawal and delivery of the funds to her.

She is somewhat overcome with the generosity of you all and will get around to thanking you personally.  In the meantime another huge thank you from me.
