Help Shanice and her daughter stay off the streets

A little bit over a week ago, Shanice courageously left an abusive relationship with her infant daughter and no savings. She’s been struggling to find a safe place to stay each night and doesn’t know when she’ll receive a voucher for the public housing she applied for. She’s at high risk for covid, and so can’t go safely go to a shelter-- assuming any even have openings now. We’ve found a motel for her with a $280 weekly rate in the meantime, but as she has no savings or support network, we’re reaching out to the community to give her and her little one a safe place to heal from the trauma of the situation they escaped. Any money donated will go to keeping a vulnerable family safe and warm during this pandemic. Any donations over the requested amount will go towards more time at the motel if needed/rides/living expenses for her and the baby.
