Help Serena with Rehabilitation
Serena was in a very bad motorcycle accident
on September 27, 2019.
The accident caused a number of injuries, including her soft tissues and organs being crushed, her ribs were broken, her collarbone was broken, back broken, fractured pelvis, and her right lung was punctured from the broken rib. She’s also had internal bleeding, which medical staff are currently working to get under control.
As of October 11,2019, Serena has had surgery to both her spine and her pelvis. While the doctors have indicated that her remaining injuries will self repair , and she is regaining feeling in her right leg, there is still a long road to recovery to which her medical
insurance does not fully cover.
Serena will be down for at least a year before
she is back on her feet, and will require
extensive rehabilitation care. Since the pelvic
surgery, they won’t allow her to even try to walk for at least 4 to 5 months. As many of you know Serena has 3 beautiful children 2 of which are in high school and playing sports. Serena worked 2 jobs to be able to pay for her children’s sport,
but with the accident she will no longer have the second income to support her children and their sports which her youngest daughter has many
scholarships lined up for college. In addition,
the costs of the rehabilitation center, relocating to a home with no stairs, and wheelchair
transportation are extremely costly.
We are asking that you please consider
contributing to help her with the uncovered costs of rehabilitation, relocation, transport, and
maintaining such activities for her children and
their future educational opportunities.
As we all know, Serena is a hard working, loving and determined individual who will come back
stronger than ever.
Her children and family appreciate your love,
support, and prayers.
Thank you in advance.
