Help Send Traci and Momma J to Recovery!

On Monday, (1/18) we drive to Kentucky in faith the Lord will have provided $7,500 of the $15,000 needed to put our friends Traci and Julie in a recovery home. We are asking the church to rise and support our efforts to help these women.
Jude 23: "Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgement. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives."
On December 23rd, 2020, we met Traci as she was living in a tent behind a local restaurant. Over the past month, we have gotten to know and love Traci and more recently, her incredible friend Julie - better known as "Momma J." Both of these women have lived incredibly difficult lives and certain circumstances have found them battling a continuous cycle of drug addiction and homelessness.
The resilience these women have displayed in order to get to this point in their journey is truly inspiring. They have endured multiple overdoses, suicide attempts, and acts of violence against them, yet have never lost their will to pursue a full life of being clean, sober, and seeking long term recovery. The one major thing that made everything come together for these ladies is their discovery of the hope they have found Jesus Christ. After many weeks battling doubt and anxiety, Traci publicly professed her faith and hope in Jesus and was baptized on Friday! (see video) The timing of the Lord is impeccable and He crossed our paths with theirs at just the right time. Getting to know Traci and Momma J and walking through this experience with them has been such a blessing.
In the search for long term recovery homes, the enemy has tried his hand to derail the process through discouragement and doubt, but we know the Lord has been a part of this from the beginning - and He does not build fragile things. Over the weekend, we discovered an incredible specialized faith-based rehab and mental health-focused recovery center in Kentucky. This facility is almost always full - but has two open beds that we believe were divinely reserved for these two ladies! They completed the application process today and their beds are officially reserved and they will head down to Kentucky tomorrow night. Praise God! Such an incredible testimony of His provision.
With the recovery center being out of state, we need to sponsor 30 days of their treatment for each of them in order for them to be considered residents of Kentucky. When they have been at the recovery house for 30 days, their medicaid will be transferred from Indiana to Kentucky which will cover the remainder of their eleven month treatment.
The total cost for 30 days of treatment is $7,500 for each for each of these ladies, coming out to $15,000 in total. Our goal is to quickly raise $7,500 to make a 50% downpayment which will allow us to make monthly payments on the remaining balance. We believe prayer is equally crucial in order to see these women overcome the stronghold of addiction from the enemy and we ask you to pray earnestly for their hearts and minds as they embark on this journey. The Lord has had his hand in all of this and we believe he is going to work an amazing financial miracle.
One note to add - you may notice that David is the beneficiary on this fundraiser. In order to keep their location confidential, we could not make the recovery center a direct beneficiary of the funds without making the organization name public. David will be withdrawing the funds and making the payments directly to the center in order to maintain confidentiality.
