Help Send The CCHS Band to Pearl Harbor

Our band has been invited to represent the Shoals and Alabama at the official public events of the 80th anniversary Commemoration of the Attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 2021.

We will perform with the Armed Forces Band during the ceremony and march in the Pearl Harbor Memorial parade. We are especially excited that our band will also perform a special concert at Pearl Harbor in front of the iconic battleship, U.S.S. Missouri, on Pearl Harbor Day 2021.

This prestigious opportunity is by invitation of the Anniversary Commemorative Committee. Our students will be a part of something that is bigger than themselves. These Shoals students will be recorded in our nation’s history books for their role in this great event.

The 80th commemoration will most likely be the last Pearl Harbor Commemoration that living Pearl Harbor survivors will be in attendance.

This is a great honor for our area, state, and our students. Can we count on you to send these outstanding young talented students to this event as ambassadors and representatives of the Shoals? This will take $120,000. Donors or businesses of donors will be recognized at CCHS sporting events and during the parade

Progress: We have raised $7,000 towards the the final goal. Additionally, if at least another $50,000 is raised by May 30th, a generous donor has pledged to match that amount.

1) Allow the band to keep part or all of the donation to help the program.
