Dear Supporters,

I would like to start off by introducing myself. My name is Nukeitra Hayes and I come from a small town, Anderson, Indiana. Currently living in DC. I am proud to share that I have been selected to represent Team USA for the 2022 Deaflympics in Caxias do Sul, Brazil.

Date of Event: May 1-15, 2022.

I started playing basketball when I was 8 years old and still have a love for the game. My deafness has not once stopped me from playing the sport I love. It has led me to play four years of college basketball at Gallaudet University, earning the 2008 Capital Athletic Conference Rookie of the year, numerous recognition for my contribution, and a trip to the NCAA Division III tournament.

After college, I knew in my heart I was not done and continued to get further opportunities to represent myself and my community.

**because of unfortunate circumstances, USA Women Basketball backed out

Gold: 2

Bronze: 1

The opportunity to travel and play International Basketball with Team USA in 2013, 2015, and 2019 could have not happened without support from those who believed in me.

Each player is expected to fundraise $4,500 and the fees go towards:

-Hotel

-International Airfare

-Team USA Gear

-Meals

-Training camp

Funds deadline:

December 2021 - $2250

February 2022 - $2250
