Help send Apopka kids to Ghana (West Africa)

Congratulations The two students were chosen for the once-in-a-lifetime experience of an all-expenses-paid free trip to Africa. They were chosen because of their high-achieving scholastic academics and their involvement in various efforts to make their respective communities better.

KFTTA began in 2016 by Paul Allen Billings, President of the WHPB 98.5 FM Radio Station. The trip abroad is paid for by donations from the public.
Among the activities, the young visitors will experience include
participating in traditional African ceremonies, visits to historic sites such as the Elmina Slave Castle, and the W.E.B. DuBois Centre in Accra, the Capital of Ghana.

This once-in-a-lifetime trip is made possible by you!

"I’m elated and it’s a lifetime opportunity. I’ve never been outside of the country, and I am extremely happy for them for having this once in a lifetime. We are very grateful and this trip to Africa is the icing on the cake with them both graduating from Apopka high school this year," said Camelia Bernard, mother of Jaylen and grandmother of Jordan.

By donating to this program, you are investing in future leaders!

Studies show that there are countless benefits that traveling gives young people: It pushes educational boundaries, broadens horizons, helps to overcome language barriers, creates cultural sensitivity, and fosters independence and empowerment.

Expenses include travel (airline tickets at $1,950 each), hotel ($500/person), food ($150/person), ground transportation ($150/person), passports ($145 each), Visa ($100 each), and medical preparation (shots, etc. at $350 each).
