Help Secure Christopher’s Freedom
My youngest son, Christopher, has been the victim of a step father who has a history of intimidation and bullying.
On the evening of 19 April, upon Christopher’s return home from work to his mother’s house, he was confronted by the stepfather once again.
This time Christopher attempted to record the intimidation and bullying on his cellphone which resulted in the stepfather violently physically assaulting him.
During the altercation, Christopher tried get away from the stepfather and exit the situation.
His mother physically placed herself between Christopher and the stepfather in an effort to protect Christopher and keep the stepfather back.
The stepfather forced his way past Christopher’s mother, physically shoving her aside, and pursued Christopher while he was attempting to leave through the back door.
The stepfather shoved him from behind as Christopher was walking out the back door.
As Christopher was regaining his balance, the stepfather grabbed Christopher from behind and struck Christopher, knocking his glasses off. Christopher turned toward the stepfather and defended himself (details we’re not allowed to post here at this time) and in doing so resulted in the death of the stepfather.
Christopher’s statement and his mother’s statement are both supported by the recorded evidence that the stepfather was the aggressor, physically assaulting Christopher (including grabbing him by his throat at least twice), and that Christopher tried to leave the assault and was defending himself.
While Christopher’s bail amount exceeds an amount that we could ever hope to raise, we are scraping up every penny we can to cover our son’s attorney’s and associated legal fees.
Christopher has been a good kid his entire life. He was an “A & B” grade student in high school free of any disciplinary issues, has never been in trouble with the law, works a full time job, has been going to college for the past two years, and even had an agent helping him work his way into the movie screenwriting industry.
Please help our us secure the freedom of our son, a good kid and a good young man, who was only defending himself.
