THE BACKSTORY
Scott and Josie, and their blended family, have 5 daughters and 5 grandchildren. Scott became extremely ill in January 2020. He was rushed to the hospital and admitted. He was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that spread to his liver. Recommended treatment was for double doses of chemotherapy every 14 days; one he receives at the hospital and one he receives through a port in his chest for 2 days.
Scott is a good father, grandfather, brother and friend. He has never met a stranger! He is always willing to go out of his way to give a helping hand to anyone in need. He is the one always helping but never asking for help. He has always been a hard worker and an excellent provider for his family. However, due to his condition Scott is too ill to work. Now, instead of being the strong one always helping others, he’s the one needing help. Josie has been working 2 jobs to try to make ends meet. Due to Scott being in and out of the hospital recently and having emergency surgery, Josie has had to take time off from both of her jobs to be with and care for Scott. Therefore, this has become an urgent need!
THE COSTS
As a coworker and friend of Josie’s I’ve decided to organize this fundraiser to help pay the $10,000 in outstanding medical bills and to help keep them afloat while Josie is unable to work as she makes Scott her primary focus.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
