Starz Ballroom, Westlake ( a ballroom & latin dance instruction dance studio) was taken over by Lizabeth Rice & Andy Slimak 2 years ago, at the time of purchasing the business, we opened a separate bank account & corporation for us to buy building & property by our 2 year mark, because of the pandemic, we had to shut our doors for 3 months and have had only 35% of our business back since.
We were told 3 weeks ago that our landlord will not renew lease, and for us to buy building now- he's not budging on an outrageous price. SO we are now put in a position to fight an ongoing battle with him to come to a fair market value of pricing to buy the building we have been involved with since the beginning of moving business in this location for 10 years now. We are now rallying our students, staff and myself with Andy together to find a new location for Starz or fight for the building we are currently in or move to close location for us to continue teaching our great student body as well as bringing more jobs to Westlake Ohio .
