Who is the CC Santa?
Corpus Christi Santa Claus (Bruce Lee Wimp) has been bringing joy to children's heart long before he ever became "Santa." A carpenter by trade Bruce is the first man anyone would call for help with just about anything. He is a man of not only many talents but many gifts for many trades and skills alike. Loving and generous, he would heed the call of anyone in need. He has loving wife, three daughters, and six grandchildren. His full time job is working and serving for the catholic retirement home in the community.
Why feed Santa?
Bruce recently was admitted with Flu like symptoms to a hospital in Corpus Christi. Days later with his family by his side found out He was diagnosed with stage four small cell cancer. In a matter of 2 weeks he had lost 30 pounds and eating became more and more difficult. The doctors found out with more testing that the cancer had spread from his lungs to his esophagus making it nearly impossible to eat, let alone keep any form of liquid down. It was decided to save this beloved Santa's life a feeding tube would be required to feed him from here on out. He has undergone numerous surgeries, as well chemotherapy and is now in a rehabilitation center paying ($100/ a day). He is unable to come home with his family until enough funds have been raised (several thousand dollars) pin order to properly take care of him, including having everything needs to feed him. Though doctors have given his family a very stark and sobering prognosis, Santa (Bruce) has continued in his belief that his suffering will not be in vein. And through it all God is still perfectly and graciously sovereign. Working for the good of those who love him.
Why Santa needs our Help?
Though Bruce, as most who know him would tell you, is full of big and brilliant thoughts and ideas for how he can be doing the most good for others. He rarely has kept any material "good" for himself. Always loving and self sacrificing, he has never needed "much" so he has never kept much. And through this very traumatic time his wife has had to quit working to take care of this very dear and beloved man. They have stretched every penny to make it work and now needs our help. Bruce's insurance through the catholic church is not enough to even begin to cover the overwhelming expense that this cancer has caused on this family. Before Bruce can come home he needs to be able to pay for home health care and very expensive equipment, and food for him as now he is totally dependent on the feeding tube for any and all nutrition. If we can raise enough money to bring Bruce home from the hospital he can be fed and rest to hopefully build his strength up to continue to bless and touch the lives of so many.
How can we help Santa?
Prayers! We believe that God can make a way, when there is no way. That through this present circumstance he is working all things for our good. So, first and foremost please lift up this dear man in your prayers, when you are so led to do so.
Donations! Any and all donations no matter how small or how large would contribute straight to the literal feeding of Santa.
