Help Save Scrappy’s Eye

Donation protected
It all started with being in the emergency room on New Year’s Eve, then struggling to find an ophthalmologist on New Year’s Day. Two emergency rooms and one vet visit later I was finally able to get him to a specialist. What started out as Uveitis led to something much worse. As I was hoping for better news, unfortunately Scrappy has a lens luxation. This means his lens is detached. Scrappy’s case is an anterior luxation, where it blocks the drainage of fluid from the eye resulting in glaucoma. At this stage his vision is not impaired, however managing the glaucoma is not the permanent solution. He will need to have surgery as soon as possible to repair it and add an artificial lens. These options will help save Scrappy’s vision and his eye overall. Unfortunately the cost of this surgery is extremely high. I had to let go of his health insurance when I lost my job to Covid-19, so anything I’ve paid for him as of lately has been out of my own pocket. I know this is a lot to ask and even just a share could help, but I truly want to save my baby’s vision. He’s a healthy, spunky, affectionate chihuahua and I try to do everything I can to make him live a happy life. Please consider donating to this cause. Any little bit helps. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
