Crown Advertising – makers of the Motorcycle Coaster® – has been employing people in our community continuously since 1957. We are a multigenerational family business with a presence in our community for more than 60 years. We have provided employment opportunities for up to dozen employees at a time at our facility. We also indirectly support dozens of jobs at the suppliers from whom we purchase our raw materials.
We are also well known in the motorcycling community for the thousands of boxes of Motorcycle Coasters® we have donated to organizations with limited or no budget and nonprofit organizations who provide charity for worthy causes worldwide.
Over the years, many organizations have also benefited from our ongoing discounts, offered to: (1) Safety Training Providers (2) Military and Military-Affiliated Organizations (3) Memorial Events and (4) Charitable Events. These donations and discounts are historically significant on an annual basis.
The COVID-19 outbreak now threatens to bring all this to an end.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, 95% of the shows and rallies we and our associates rely on to promote our product and their endeavors were canceled. These cancellations drastically affected our business volume. Even offering a “COVID Relief Sale” of 19% off our published prices did not help enough, and we had to lay off most of our staff.
Without financial help, our 60-year-old business will be closing by the middle of next year, thereby permanently eliminating a dozen direct jobs and dozens of indirect jobs, and obviously taking away our ability to continue donating to charitable causes. All the funds we receive will allow us to keep providing payroll and cover operating expenses and will provide hope to the future of our business and our employees, as well as to the varied organizations that rely on our presence in the motorcycling and powersports industries.
