Help Save My Sister From Cancer

Donation protected

We went back and forth on deciding if we should create a GoFundMe page for my sister, as my family is a bit private on any financial difficulties we may endure. However, due to the reality of financial strain this has placed upon all of us, we decided to swallow any pride for the sake of my sister and her children. It is with a heavy heart that we reach out to everyone as our family is in great need of any and all help for my sister Dawn Ward.

In 2014 my sister Dawn began to have symptoms that the doctors could not quite understand. It began as what doctors called a simple case of gastritis and led to H Pylori which eventually became a blood clot then a pulmonary embolism to gallstones and finally a sudden discovery of stage 4 CANCER.

My sister went to the ER  with difficulty breathing and abdominal pain. They found she has what is called Pleural Effusion which is a build up of fluid between the tissues that line the lungs and  the chest which must be drained every day. They also found two 5 -7 inch tumors on her ovaries. The biopsy discovered these are Krukenberg tumors. Krukenberg tumors are a rare form of cancer that originated in the stomach and metastasized to the ovaries. This resulted in the doctors giving her a complete hysterectomy.

The doctors are leaving the remaining tumor in the stomach and in 3 weeks want to start chemo.

At this time we have decided to take the route of alternative medicine along with a clean alkaline diet of juicing to help build her immune system.

6 years ago we lost our father quickly and unexpectedly to a rare blood cancer that was only diagnosed until after his passing through an autopsy. With those moments of heartache still fresh in our memory, we want to act quickly yet carefully to giving my sister Dawn the best possible alternative treatment with the hopes of eradicating this cancer or simply prolonging her life.

I personally have complete faith in her recovery yet it requires consistent care.

Any amount of donations gifted,  large or small, is greatly appreciated and will go towards:

- All medications required for her treatment
- Medical bills
- Home care assistance
- All organic foods
- Her physical and emotional comfort

Thank you to everyone who is supportive of our journey in Dawn Ward's recovery.
