Help save Frankendog aka Luna

This was one of the worst days of our families lives. Imagine looking at your home surveillance on your phone and wondering why your all white dog isn't white. I asked my husband to run home and check on the dogs. What he found was a horror story.
We had been dog sitting a friends dog, trying to help her rehome him because she was moving and couldn't take him. We were actualluy thinking about keeping him and we had him for about two and a half weeks with ZERO indication of the tragedy he would cause so many lives.
The dog we were sitting ended up mauling Luna for about 17 minutes and at minute 9 Luna passed out. He continue to maul her, shaking her and ripping at her, tossing her like a ragdoll.
Ultimately he ripped the muscles and skin from the majority of her face and skull.
We immediately rushed her to the vet. The very first thing we ask is "we want to save her but do you think that it's humane?" After an exam and checking her vitals our vet said that if it was his dog, he would try.
So we are!!! And so far so good!! Every time we see her, which is 2-3 times a day, she wags her little nub. She had her left ear completely removed, her right nasal passage reconstructed, not to mention the countless stitches and 17 tubes in her face.
All we want is for her to come home. Our sweet little girl deserves to come home and be spoiled rotten for the rest of her life. She's already given enough, now all we want to do is give everything to her.
