$8,000 is urgently needed NOW and by May 30, 2024 with a total of $32,500 raised by April 30, 2025 to save a total of 25 mid-to large-sized Anguilla shelter dogs! 

Why? Because it’s life or death for many mid- to large-sized Anguilla shelter dogs (like Raspberry and Peaches) and your donation will help save them.

THE PROBLEM

Many loving, innocent, healthy, mid- to large-sized mixed-breed island dogs in Anguilla consistently sit in a small kill-shelter (with limited space and finances) where they will be euthanized, by no choice of their own. As sad as it is to accept, these dogs take up resources in the Anguilla shelter. Unless Fly To Freedom Dog Rescue has the funds to save these mid- to large-sized dogs, these Anguilla dogs will die.

HISTORY OF SITUATION

In 2023, Fly To Freedom Dog Rescue saved 29 mid to large-sized Anguilla dogs. Although this is commendable, the organization ran out of money to continue to save them. Now, significant financial assistance is required in order to continue saving these mid- to large-sized dogs. Or else these dogs will die.

WHAT YOUR DONATION SUPPORTS

Economies of scale require Fly To Freedom Dog Rescue to fly the mid- to large-size dogs in packs of 6 dogs, as it is the same fixed-cost to fly just one dog via cargo as it is to fly 6 dogs via cargo (the maximum the inter-island cargo plane can accommodate).

Your donation goes directly towards the $1,300 price tag that it takes to prepare and fly just one mid- to large-sized dog off of Anguilla and to the United States for adoption. And your donation goes to the overall $8,000 cost to fly 6 dogs at once.

The $1,300 per dog cost includes:

• Veterinary exams

• Preventative medicines

• Vaccines

• Microchip

• Pee pads, collar, leash, sanitary wipes, poop bags

• Travel kennels

• Travel water and food bowls

• Import, custom, and duty fees

• Transport fees to three airports

• Three cargo airline tickets per dog

• Boarding fees at the Anguilla shelter

• Boarding fees in Puerto Rico at Del Guatu boarding facility

• Airport handler fees

GoFundMe will take your donation and pay it to the Fly To Freedom Dog Rescue, Inc. a U.S.-based 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, who will then organize and pay for the costs associated with and saving 24 mid to large-sized Anguilla dogs in one year, with 12 of the dogs being saved and transported to the United States for adoption by end of 2024.

THE PLAN

Once the first $8,000 in donations is raised, the first batch of 6 mid- to large-sized Anguilla dogs will be saved and flown to the United States for adoption. Once the second $8,000 is raised, the next batch of 6 dogs will be saved and flown. And so on and so forth as the team works towards saving 24 of them over a 12-month period of time. This fundraiser will continue to operate as long as healthy adult dogs are needing transport to save their lives.

Fly To Freedom Dog Rescue is a small, donor-funded, all-volunteer 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization rescuing homeless island dogs from Anguilla and flying them them to the United States for adoption. The 6-member team of volunteers work tirelessly to save the homeless dogs of Anguilla and rely on monetary donations to keep the rescue work going.
