Help Jessica fight a very aggressive brain tumor

Donation protected

In January 2021 our whole life started to change,  Jessica started having persistent headaches that weren’t quite going away. Like anyone she really didn’t think much of it, and that’s when I really started to watch her. After a few weeks they started getting worse and worse, to the point that really only sleep would make them subside. This is when i started to try and talk her into seeing a doctor. But she really didn’t think that it was a serious issue and didn’t want to make a big deal out of anything (that’s just the type of person she is, doesn’t want to “bother anyone”) she chalked it all up to the added stress at worked and everything she read about her symptoms told her that it was stress and tension headaches. This is where I started seeing things take a turn for the worse, I found myself staying up at night making sure that she was ok. It was when I started noticing some muscle drooping in her face that  I really started to talk her into seeing a doctor. So off to urgent care we went, but because of Covid not only was I not allowed in the room but I wasn’t allowed in the building, and because of what was growing inside her brain that neither one of us knew about yet she couldn’t remember all of her symptoms. It was then that the doctor told her exactly what she had already thought it was “Stress and Tension headaches”..... Needless to say I couldn’t accept that diagnosis and a week later we were on our way to the hospital. It was then on March 26th 2021 that our whole world changed. The E.R. Doctor saw what I saw and listened to what I had been seeing and sent her for a C.T Scan and that was when we first heard the word tumor. She had a tumor on the right side of her brain in the area of “high level cognitive thinking and development”. She was then rushed by ambulance to a nearby hospital that was more equipped to take care of her and was immediately admitted into the I.C.U where she would undergo her first emergency brain surgery that ultimately saved her life and gave her the time she needed to meet with specialist at Brigham and Women’s hospital in Boston. Now Jessica has had two Massive brain surgeries and is undergoing radiation treatment. We are asking for help as insurance does not cover nearly everything and are in no position to afford all of the upcoming treatments along with everything else that is needed to survive. Thank you everyone for taking the time to read Jessica’s story and God bless.
