Help save Holy Trinity Church

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Judy and I’m the church warden at Holy Trinity in Dalton. Owing to a lack of funding and the coronavirus pandemic, the church has fallen into serious disrepair meaning that no one is presently allowed inside because of toxic black mould, holes in the roof which are letting in water, erosion on the sandstone structure, and an uneven drive. Without your help, the next step for this quaint little piece of our local history; is foreclosure.

Holy Trinity- the only church left in our community- is currently part and parcel of the local primary school, Trinity Croft C of E Academy, and closure of the church would mean that the children are currently losing out on a large part of their local culture. The church is more than just a building or a place of worship; it’s a part of our heritage. Good people were married, baptised, confirmed, and laid to rest there. It's a place of sanctuary, where the children go to get involved with their community, and where people can reconcile with their lost loved ones.

Your kind donations would ensure that this church remains open for years to come, will help children forge their own religious paths, and ensure that the building is kept safe and in good repair by means of;
  • Treating the mould
  • Repairing the roof
  • Repaving the drive
  • Weatherproofing the entire structure to prevent further damage

Please, don’t let a pillar of our community crumble.

Thank you for your support.
