Help save Bombus!

Bombus is a sweet three year old dog who was dealt a poor hand of cards. He is currently in critical condition and we are doing everything we can to figure out why.
I brought him into the vet this past Friday, 1/12/18, for a hurt leg. They discovered he had a high fever which was weird and said his leg seemed to be okay. He started on medication and seemed to be on the upswing. On Saturday night he started moaning in pain uncontrollably so we brought his into the emergency vets. They reran a lyme test, did x-rays and ran his blood work. His blood work came back very concerning; extremely low levels for red and white blood cells and platelets.
He has now been at the hospital for two days on a heavy dose of antibiotics and pain medication. Unfortunately he has not improved. This morning he saw an internal medicine specialist who has suggested a bone marrow core sample as the next step.
Bombus has never been sick before and being that he is so young, we want to find out what is wrong and hopefully find a solution to make him healthy again. We have currently spent $3500 not including the bone marrow test.
Bombus is loved by many for his naughty but sweet self. Any donation would be gratefully accepted. I want to get this boy back out running in the woods. Please help. Thank you.
