Help Save a Cat Named Indie!

Indie is a 1yr old domestic short hair who was found on the streets during October 2017. When no owner could be found, my friend Josh decided not to turn him over to a shelter as Indie had already wormed his way into his heart. Unfortunately due to the fact that Josh's apartment complex was recently purchased, the new buyer evicted everyone in the building. Indie was left in the care of people we thought could be trusted for two weeks & when Josh went to pick him up February 12 Indie was rushed to Bulger Veterinary Hospital in North Andover to try to save his life! The vet explained that Indie had been left confined to his carrier for probably the entire 2 weeks with No access to a litter box, food & probably very little water. We were all horrified when we heard! Friends came to help with transportation, emotional support & a fierce desire to see Indie recover!! This cat which we were all told may not make it through the night, did in fact make it! He's not completely out of the woods yet & does need additional care. I went to North Andover on February 13 & help move Indie to Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston. As bills are climbing we could use your help so that he can continue to get the care he needs & deserves! Here is the breakdown of costs: Veterinary Hospital 24/7 emergency vet care $1,622.28 ($775 was collected & donated so far leaving a current bill of $847.28) Angell Animal Medical Center $1,850 for intake & 3 days of 24/7 care. Surgery to remove necrosis of the paws $2,500. There will be 2 follow up visits $130 The vet explained because of Indies open sores we will need new sterile cat supplies: Epson salt for bathing him, urinary balanced cat food, medications, new litter box, pee pads (as he can't use litter with open sores), water & food bowl, coller, catbed, grooming suppies $276. This entire amount will help him through the 3 month recovery process! Please help us continue to save Indie from deplorable treatment!
