Help Sasha Beat Cancer

Epilogue:

So here we are. For those of you who do not know me, my name is Julia (pictured left next to Sasha). Sasha and I have known each other since High School (a good 18 years) and have seen our fair share of life's up and downs in that time. I feel I am attempting to write something prophetic here, and nothing is coming to mind besides the words "Amazing Grace." Sasha has been a poster child for this sentiment.

She was diagnosed a year ago with Cervical cancer and has personified Grace in every act, every stage, every medical operation, every trial, and tribulation along the way. Grace is an incredible concept that boggles the mind and soul, can be difficult to accept and is the most amazing gift in all of life. I set up this account so that as a community, we can help usher this Grace within Sasha by supporting her during the most challenging time in her life.

Any amount will be a gift of light, a source of healing, and an incredibly powerful tool to help Sasha beat cancer once and for all.

From Sasha herself:

Cervical cancer is an intimate disease. It went to the very core of my womanhood and has threatened to take everything from me; future children, family, friends, career, and livelihood. A year ago my doctor discovered I had a large cervical tumor with metastasis to my pelvic lymph system. I was treated with radiation and chemotherapy in the 2019 summer that looked to be a success.

In my routine checkup in the fall of 2019, they found metastasis of the same disease in my lungs. This was terrifying and I went through another round of high dose chemotherapy that ended in February 2020. Again, the treatment appeared to be a success until this June when the second relapse of tumors has been found in my left lung.

As I get deeper into this journey, I find that cancer is like the mythical Hydra; a multi-faced monster where you cut off one head and another grows back. Every cancer patient needs buckets of support to attack from all fronts. My metabolic treatments and holistic support are paid out of pocket and my insurance, though helpful, does not cover all costs. My ability to be independent depends on my health and my ability to work.

I am in the midst of experiencing the reality of deadly, chronic disease and asking for your support to help me in my journey towards long term remission. I have been able to walk on my own financially this far and now need your help to get the next step of the way.
