Help Sarah Ghislain Heal

With heavy hearts, we grieve the loss of Brandon Ghislain. Those who knew Brandon well speak of genius, humor, hard-work, and talent--but above all, they speak of KINDNESS. As his friend Christina said, “He was like a space heater in a frozen room.”  

From the outside, Brandon’s future couldn’t have looked brighter. A recently married, third-year medical student at Mayo Clinic, Brandon was loved and respected by peers and faculty alike. But inside, Brandon wrestled with profound anxiety most of his life--anxiety that escalated one cold night in January, when he locked the door and opened his wrist.

 His loving wife Sarah came to his rescue, and for days, the team at Mayo worked to bring him back. But despite kind and valiant efforts, Brandon’s spirit moved on. 
 
Sarah now grieves the loss of her husband while facing medical bills and costs of moving. While nothing can bring our Brandon back, we CAN come together as a community to help Sarah heal. Every dollar lightens the burden  she carries forward and is so deeply appreciated by our family. From the bottom of our heavy hearts, we thank you.
