Sarah Galante is one of thee most selfless people l have ever had the privilege of knowing and loving as a dear friend. Sarah has struggled with MS for the past 18 years. Struck with this debilitating disease at the prime of her young life, it has ravaged her body, stole her mobility and rendered her incapable of independence. Sarah’s pain level is a ten on most days, and she spends the majority of her days in excruciating pain stemming from symptoms of this horrific disease.Through all of this! She smiles, she offers help she cannot give, she consoles others, she is so full of love and laughter. She is a joy and bright light to those of us that love her dearly! She lives for the love of her life ‘Nate’! Her 10 year old autistic son. This in itself carries so many challenges, and a lot of stress and advocating for her child.
NOW WE WANT TO GIVE BACK! WE WANT AND NEED TO HELP OUR BEAUTIFUL FRIEND!
Last week we almost lost Sarah!
She has been through hell!
Sarah collapsed and was minutes from death. NATE SAVED HIS MOM’S LIFE! YES YOU HEARD ME CORRECTLY! WHILE SARAH STRUGGLED TO BREATHE WITH DANGEROUSLY LOW OXYGEN LEVELS, HER AUTISTIC SON WAS ABLE TO TEXT HIS DAD TO SAY MOM WAS VERY SICK ENABLING MIKE TO CALL 911. ON ARRIVAL MEDICS TOLD HER FAMILY SHE WAS MINUTES FROM DEATH. IT REALLY IS A STORY FOR CHANNEL 4,5 or 7.
Sarah underwent open heart surgery, crashed while under anesthesia and was in an induced coma for several days.
Thank God our dear friend is still with us! She is a complete miracle.
Sarah’s recovery is going to be a long, challenging road ahead which health insurance will not fully cover. Sarah will need months of rehab, 24/7 care and extensive renovations to her home, ramps, extended openings, etc. Our common goal is to get Sarah home to Nate, through love support and hard work. Unfortunately it also comes with huge expense.
We are asking very especially to please donate! Any amount, big or small, everything adds up. It’s time for this beautiful giver to be the receiver and accept help. Thank you for listening to Sarah’s story.
