Help Sandy Get a Wheelchair Van!!

In 2004, my awesome mom was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The diagnosis was a huge shock to our family and at first we were unsure of what the future would look like for my mom and her health. A few years after her diagnosis we really began to see the MS take its toll on her body. Over the years she began to lose mobility and needed a cane to walk, and then eventually, a wheelchair. Now she has no use of her legs and almost no use of her hands. She depends fully on a wheelchair and others to help her with just about everything. 

My dad is my mom's caretaker. He takes care of her in so many ways, feeds her, and carries her whenever she needs to get out of the bed. As they both get older, my dad's ability to carry my mom from the wheelchair to the car has become the biggest difficulty. For us, it is essential that we find the best solution to make mobility easier. 

Though the process has been difficult, we are very confident in the power and goodness of God and we continue to believe for her healing. In the meantime, 
we have decided that it would be best for us to purchase a "wheelchair van" so that my dad could easily get her onto the van and out of the house.  After considering our options, we are reaching out to our community and asking to help us with the funds to purchase this van. Knowing that my mom will not have to be as bound to the house and would be more able to travel, whether to the doctors or to dinner with my dad, would be a HUGE blessing to our family.
