Help Sal Get Back On His Feet

LaSalle Miller (Sal) is ready to help when you need him. He loves cars and is always ready to help fix any car related problem. He would do anything for his family, friends and co-workers and as we found out, on July 21,2018, (his wedding anniversary) he would even help people he didn't know. That evening Sal stopped to help a driver whose car had broken down on the side of the road. As he attempted to fix the problem he crawled under the car, his legs sticking out towards the road.

That's  when an out of control driver drove off the road and ran over Sal's  legs. The driver got out of the car, saw what happened and drove off, leaving Sal suffering with a broken left foot a broken right foot, his right ankle fractured in two places with a bone protruding and a broken right leg. The image of his mangled legs still haunts all of us.
 
Since the vicious hit and run accident Sal has endured three operations and hours of rehabilitation to learn how to walk again, the pain is excruciating. The driver that hit him has not been found. He was not in the car he was fixing so the insurance held by the owner of that car will not help him. His personal health insurance does not cover all of his expenses and he will soon run out of savings to pay his monthly bills, leaving his family at risk of losing everything.

Sal was released from the rehabilitation center August 23, 2018. He cannot walk and can barely stand. He has a difficult road of recovery ahead and needs our help now to get back on his feet. He needs to know his family will be alright so he can focus on getting back to work.
