Sabrina's Cancer Recovery Fund

Don protégé
Sabrina Wittekind was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer (papillary carcinoma) and Fibromyalgia in the summer of 2017 after years of seeking medical treatment for pain and a lump in her neck that made it difficult to eat and sometimes breathe.

She underwent a Thyroidectomy on August 18th, 2017 where they removed her entire thyroid, the tumor they found on it, some neck tissue/muscle, and 5 lymph nodes. After a pathology, it was found that all 5 lymph nodes still had the cancer, so she now has to undergo radioactive iodine treatment. The doctors are hopeful that with one round of treatment, it will eradicate the cancer--but she will continue with more rounds if needed.

Radioactive Iodine treatments will begin on October 30th at The James Cancer hospital at Ohio State University. Sabrina will be required to be in complete isolation until around the 2nd or 3rd week in November.
Throughout her recovery, Sabrina has also had to battle with Fibromyalgia pain and adjusting to her new medications. She is not permitted to work, but is not eligible for aid and has been struggling financially.

As of now, Sabrina takes care of herself, and her younger brother, Anthony Wittekind (11yrs). I have started this account to see if we can raise money for her to have food, transportation and hotel costs, as well as some help towards bills so she doesn't fall behind financially during recovery.

Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated, but if you can't donate monetarily she can always use meals during her isolation!
