Ruth's Skin Removal Surgery

Hi, thanks for taking a look at my story. I'm Ruth, and on 29th September 2019 my life changed. After years of waiting, working, trying, and often failing I had surgery that would save my life.

I had a gastric sleeve - which means 80% of my stomach was surgically removed. The clock was reset and the years of abuse my body suffered at my hands ended. I was able to start to love myself, and fall in love with a healthier lifestyle that actually stuck!

So here we are, 2021 and I am 11.5stone lighter. I have the ability now to do the things I always wanted to do but was either too big or too scared to do.

I am not usually one to ask for help, or to talk about my body and the struggles I have had. This is so important to me that I can't stay silent when there is an opportunity to change my life for the better.
