Hello All,
I'd like to share a quick story about my cousin Ruth. On a random night in October, much like every other night, Ruth and her family sat down and enjoyed dinner as they often do. After dinner, they were doing typical after meal duties, clearing the table and washing the dishes, when Ruth started to suddenly feel dizzy and subsequently passed out. Upon coming to, she found herself laying in a hospital bed. She was told that she has a tumor on her brain and that they would need to perform surgery quickly to diagnose her situation. As the story goes, Ruth underwent surgery and awaited the results. The news wasn't what she hoped to hear; a stage four brain tumor.
Ruth is about to embark on the biggest challenge of her and her loved ones lives. She is currently awaiting a treatment plan that will include Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments. Due to the nature of Ruth's tumor and the location on Ruth's brain, Ruth is unable to work. Ruth, like many in her situation, is not looking for a handout, but I know there are many of you that would like to extend a helping hand!
I'm asking for your help. Help Ruth and her family fight this battle!
Ruth, "You have been assigned this mountain to show others it can be moved" and as the poet Willa Cather once said, "Where there is great love there are always miracles".
