Help Rufus Prolong his life

Donation protected
Hello, our names our Regan (@lilbabygerb) and Timothie (@kidway_). As some of you may know, we worked under Jahseh for his clothing brand, Bad Vibes Forever (which we are respectfully no longer a part of). We lived in his house while working for BVF and during this time we'd help take care of his cats & dogs, also. It was our pleasure to help out since he allowed us to live there for free. One day Jah brought a bengal cat home, whom he named, Rufus. Rufus appeared to be ill, he had a runny nose & eyes, and it seemed he had trouble breathing. The place Jah got him from told him that Rufus was having "an allergic reaction to vaccines." Well, some weeks went by and Rufus wasn't getting better. We took him to the vet and they told us Rufus has herpes and a major respiratory infection. They also said we got Rufus to the vet just in time because he could have died. After a ton of money paid, Rufus was nursed back to health. When Rufus returned home he had to stay in our room so he didn't infect the other cats. During this time a huge bond was formed between us and Rufus. Eventually, Jah gifted Rufus to us. We can't explain how happy we were to call Rufus "ours."
It's been about a year since then and Rufus has appeared happy and healthy. Unforuntantely though, about 2 weeks ago now, he turned into a whole different cat. Bengal cats are known for their extremely playful character and talkative nature. Rufus would run around the whole house and climb to the top of his kitty castle, he used to play with his 2 brothers (which are huge golden retreievers) but, we started to notice him become overly lethargic. He started sleeping under a blanket all day, everyday, except to eat and go to the bathroom. Worried, Tim and I took him to the vet. They had to do a lot of work to figure out what was wrong with Rufus. After 2 rounds of blood work, x-rays, catscans, ultrasounds, and samples taken from his kidneys, liver, and lymph nodes; the veterinarian, AND a vet specialist, conluded he has Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). With Rufus having herpes and a weak immune system, the vet said, FIP was almost inevitable. FIP is a fatal and rare disease only infecting 3% of cats, yet it kills 95% of those cats that have contracted it. There isn't a known cure and studies are still being done to figure out where FIP comes from. FIP comes in 2 forms, "wet" & "dry." When cats contract the "wet" version it is likely for them to pass away within days. The "dry" version may allow the cat to live weeks, to months, to years if we're lucky. Rufus has the "dry" version and a 5% chance he will live out his normally life expectancy. We're reaching out today because in order to prolong his life, he will need to visit the vet frequently, continue getting blood work done to monitor his levels, he will need to be perscribed antibiotics, vitmanins, and have to undergo other treatments and procedures to ensure the inflammation doesn't get worse. We've already spent everything we have ($2,800) on figuring out what's wrong. We can't put into words how much Rufus means to us, he has helped us in so many ways we didn't even know were possible, we've been through a lot with Rufus and we have to do everything we can to prolong his life for him. Until he shows major signs of pain, we can't give up on him. Anything, anyone can do to help means the world to us. We just want to do everything we can to see our little boy live out his average life span, comfortable and stress-free.
