Help Rosemary Replace Her Stolen Bicycle

Owning and operating a bicycle has been one of the single most liberating and joyous acts of my young adulthood. My bicycle has been my main source of transportation over the last 6 years as well as a source of happiness.  Often I would bike the 14 miles from Eureka to Arcata and back for school, work, and necessities, traveling through Old Arcata Road and the backstreets of Eureka.

Two months ago my bicycle was stolen from my home on August 17th 2020. For me, bicycling is not only my main form of transportation but my preferred form of exercise, meditation and joy. During these times of Covid-19 bicycling has been the single most safest act that brings me joy. Bicycling for a young Black body is a form of resistance, liberation and above all else it is a form of joy.

I am only asking from my community what was taken from me. If you're able to aide me in my dreams of bicycling again, thank you! If all you can do is share and send me well wishes, I appreciate the love! I truly am blessed with the support of this community! I know with your help I will be cycling again soon. ✨
