Help Romin & family through crisis

Our friend Romin recently suffered a serious mental health crisis and received a diagnosis of bipolar disorder. In his own words:
“I had a major manic episode with delusions this week as soon as I got home from a long weekend conference in Santa Barbara with very little sleep. I thought YouTube and Netflix were giving me clues about how to stop an imminent school shooting at Penn State and called the authorities there to warn them.
“Went to the ER a few days ago escorted by an officer and talked to a doctor for a long while and was eventually diagnosed as bipolar with delusions.”
While Romin is currently stabilized on meds and is recuperating, he and his family need support to weather this initial crisis and to adjust to the new reality of his diagnosis and illness. Our goal is to help them remove some stressors — a factor that can contribute to another episode — and meet some of their basic needs, like paying bills and rent. Romin is the sole income earner right now for his family of five while his wife, Jenny, studies to become a nurse. It would be ideal for Romin and Jenny to get to focus on their family for a little while instead of worrying about making ends meet.
Everyone who knows Romin and Jenny knows they give of themselves constantly, generously, and with all their hearts. Let’s lend our support as strongly as they would gladly lend theirs.
