83 year old Roberts RV also his home on fire all is gone
I am Robert's sister and I am fund raising for my brother who has lost everything He has no access to a computer to do fund raising himself, also he is computer illiterate
Tuesday night Robert's RV caught on fire while driving down Marine Drive in West Vancouver. It is not known how the fire started but everything went up in smoke. This was not only his mode of transportation but it was his home. He has lost everything, his clothes, all his kitchen ware, bedding, medication, documents. Everything that a person needs to live. He now is homeless and staying in a warming shelter which is not ideal for anyone but especially for an 83 year old with medical issues. He will need money for a place to rent, for clothes, furniture, household items, and personal items (medications, etc.). I have estimated that $10,000 to $15,000 will give him the foot up he will need. As he has no place to stay he is not able to receive donations of clothing or household items at least until he has a place to live. The funds will be needed quickly as he is on a very low fixed income and will have great problems getting money together for a place to live.
