Help Robert Become a Dominican Friar

Hi! My name is Robert Peters. I have been accepted to enter the novitiate of the Order of Preachers (the Dominicans) this summer.
I first thought about becoming a priest when I was a little boy and as a young man I’ve grown confident that this is the life to which God is calling me. I studied as a lay student at Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit, obtaining a Bachelor’s in Philosophy and Master’s in Theology, graduating in 2018. Through my prayer, studies, conversations, and spiritual direction at the seminary, I became ever more attracted to priestly life and specifically the Dominican charism.
The Dominicans were founded by St. Dominic de Guzman over 800 years ago for the sake of preaching for the salvation of souls. As a Dominican, I look forward to a life dedicated to prayer, preaching, and celebrating the sacraments. I ask for your prayers as I prepare to enter the Order and I promise my prayers for everyone reading this message.
As a Dominican, I will be committing to a life of poverty and because of that I am required to resolve all of my debts before entering the Order. For that purpose, I am asking for your help in paying off my student loans (I have no other debts). I have been working full time this past year to pay off as much as I can on my own. I also applied for assistance from a fund for vocations but they receive so many requests for aid that they weren’t able to grant my request.
It is my hope to raise $35,000 before July 22nd, the feast of St. Mary Magdalene, the day I will begin my Dominican formation. I deeply appreciate any and all assistance. I am so grateful for gifts of any size.
