Rob Carlos is an amazing artist and a kind and generous friend. One example of how generous Rob is: during the government shutdown, he took proceeds from the sale of his "Jedi Alexandria" prints to buy food boxes for federal workers going without pay. If you travel in any fantasy fan circles you may know him as "the guy who draws your dragon" at conventions such as NorwesCon, FyreCon, and WorldCon. His art is on the historic Sunset Theater building on 6th Ave. that currently houses Crescent Moon Gifts in Tacoma, Washington.
On Tuesday, March 12, someone smashed in the door of his garage and stole woodworking tools used to create woodburnings and woodcarvings, his chainsaw, 40 volt batteries, and other items. Thankfully, his inventory of art for shows seems to have been left untouched. Rob has already filed a police report and an insurance claim. Also, friends have already helped by replacing the broken garage door with a new, reinforced one to protect the remaining items.
Unexpected expenses are difficult for anyone to cover, so I'm asking for your help in covering Rob's insurance deductible, which is $1000 so he can replace the tools he needs to continue creating his beautiful art.

Round Dragon Relief was a gift for illustrator and author Todd Lockwood, a 3D version of the cover of his first novel, The Summer Dragon. Mr. Lockwood keeps the carving in his studio.
