Help me recover from crippling debt

I've been in a cycle of debt for as long as I remember. Recently, I've moved with my adopted brother and have been paying nearly $600/fortnight in rent. He's found a job, but doesn't start work until halfway through January. Right now I'm nearly a thousand dollars in debt and as a diabetic, I can't easily compromise on the food I buy, I'm currently paying upwards of $120 for transport to and from work each fortnight, and covering a majority of the rent for our unit. I can't afford to pay my phone bills, I just finished paying off my cats vet bills, and I spend about $60-70 on my essential medications each month. I need help.
