Help Rita Walk and Talk Again w/ Stem Cell Therapy

As many of you know, a little over a year ago my mom, Rita Farias suffered from a massive ischemic stroke which affected over 85% of her brain and resulted in a partial leg amputation, inability to walk or move the right side of her body and inability to talk. Although my mom has made great progress through various therapies: physical, occupational, speech and acupuncture, my mom is still wheelchair bound, unable to walk or speak fully. Yet, there is still time for her to make a full recovery and we remain optimistic that she will beat the odds. We are extremely grateful for the love, prayers and support that she has received thus far, especially the support from her husband, Richard Farias who has remained by her side 24/7. Prior to the stroke my mom and Richard ran a successful non-profit organization serving low-income communities. For the last year neither one of them have worked as Rita is completely dependent on Richard and the help of a caregiver. It is a lot to take on - emotionally, physically and financially for both my mom and Richard, yet they continue to persevere. If you were to see my mom today, you would still see the love, light, joy and hope that she carries with her. She is always smiling and rarely complains. She truly is a beautiful soul.

We humbly ask you to find it within your hearts to keep Rita and Richard in your prayers and if you are able to do so, please make a contribution toward my mother's stem cell therapy treatment, which is promising and also very costly. She is already seeing a specialist who is able to do the treatment. We just need to come up with the money. Any contribution is greatly appreciated.
