My uncle Rick is currently in a Geri- psych facility in San Diego and was recently diagnosed with dementia. His brothers and sisters are trying to move him to the Bay Area closer to his family.
We need to raise enough money to cover his expenses to live in a skilled nursing facility in the Bay Area until he gets on Medi-Cal. It takes at least two-three months to get Medi-Cal services, so we need to pay for his expenses until Medi-Cal can cover him.
He has no children and is a kind man that took care of everyone else his whole life. He was in the peace corps, has three master degrees, was an usher at his church, and was the director volunteer group for the homeless for decades. This can give you an idea of the enormous heart this man has.
I am doing all I can along with the help of family members but could use some assistance. If you feel inclined to give any amount, it is appreciated. Even $10 could help.
