Help Rhythm Room and its staff survive COVID-19

Rhythm Room and its amazing team is facing difficulty due to the impact of COVID-19 on our business.
We're proud that since we started back in 2018 our humble music school had grown to teaching over 500 students of all ages and employing 18 people at our premises in Bletchley and in schools all across the local counties. We're now a key part of the local community of Milton Keynes and organise a student concert twice a year for our students to showcase what they've been learning at MK11, another local business.
We're reaching out now as like so many other small, independent businesses, we face an unpredictable and potentially very grave future.
In light of recommendations by the government in March, we closed our doors of our premises and attempted to make the shift to online lessons, we then saw a drop off of 80% of our student base.
Although we have received the small business grant from the government, this payment has gone back to the government in the form of taxes. We still have a large amount of ongoing bills that are not covered, including accruing more taxes on the small amount that we are earning from online lessons.
Our administrator has been furloughed under the government scheme, and both directors have taken more than a 50% pay cut in order to help keep the business afloat, however the business is still in a very vulnerable financial position.
The largest majority of our income is from schools, public schools are expected to re-open June 1st, however only to certain year groups, meaning that we will be unlikely to recommence our provision of music lessons to their pupils until next term in September.
We are asking for £5k, this will help cover our bills and staffing costs for the next 2/3 month.
At this point, while we understand that so many others are facing similarly uncertain times, we are encouraging everyone in the community and beyond who wants to play a part in safeguarding the future of Rhythm Room, to please donate generously to this fund should you have the means to do so.
We will be monitoring the situation and reacting accordingly to government advice.
We will keep you all informed of any changes to our plan and situation.
